Stewardship Hub
OGM's governance, fiscal, and operational steward-side material. The largest single area of the source wiki by file count after Jerry's Nuggets: 39 files in OGM Stewardship/.
What's here
The Stewardship area divides into three sub-areas:
- Documents/ — formal artifacts: MOUs, vision documents, dashboards
- Meetings/ — Lionsberg + OGM meetings and OGM Stewards Jam Seshes from Mar–May 2021
- Project Plans/ — operational planning artifacts: governance plan, MOU finalization, the project template
The OGM Bootstrap-Lionsberg MOU
The structural backbone of OGM's first year. From OGM Stewardship/Documents/OGM Bootstrap MOU/1. OGM Bootstrap-Lionsberg Memorandum of Understanding.md:
"Lionsberg and Open Global Mind Bootstrap (OGM Bootstrap) would like to enter an agreement in which Lionsberg would become a fiscal sponsor of OGM Bootstrap."
Key MOU mechanics:
- Fiscal sponsorship — Lionsberg (a 501(c)(3)) holds and disburses funds for OGM Bootstrap; 5% administrative fee on deposits.
- Term — initial 12 months; can extend or graduate OGM into its own 501(c)(3).
- Generative Commons IP terms — "All work we do by, for, and with Open Global Mind is given over to The Generative Commons" (with limits in Appendix C).
- Reporting — quarterly written reports to Lionsberg.
- Mediation/arbitration clause — disputes resolved through "established tension revelation and resolution protocols" then AAA/JAMS.
Notable self-reflection in the MOU itself: "We note that structuring the administrative fee as a percent of deposits and donations may encourage unintended focus on growth of incoming funds, rather than public benefit. In future agreements, we may move to an accounting basis in which administrative fees are based on costs." — a stewarding voice critiquing its own incentive structure.
Appendices
- Appendix A — Sprint 1 Statement of Work (~1267 chars; flagged as orphan gem: 2 inbound, underdeveloped relative to references)
- Appendix B — Cultures and Values Alignment

- Appendix D — Larger, Evolving Vision Document (~7236 chars; flagged in Hidden Substance — substantial but no inbound links)

- OGM + Lionsberg coordination
- Program/project management tool decision (Wiki vs. Notion)
- Identity and handles

@channelin Mattermost[ogm] Stewards, with target ~12-hour response - Culture and Values

Project Plans
Operational artifacts in OGM Stewardship/Project Plans/:
- Template for Project — the canonical project plan template (referenced from
OGM Culture/OGM Community Patterns.md); the How to Use page exists, the template itself is referenced as a true orphan in some link forms - Governance Plan
- Communicating Lionsberg Process to OGM
- Finalizing Lionsberg+OGM MoU
- Operational Plan Launch Sprint
- OGM Program & Project Management Tool Decision — Wiki vs. Notion question
Things invoked but not in Stewardship/
The MOU and Stewardship dashboard reach across the wiki. Concepts that the Stewardship docs invoke but that live elsewhere (or nowhere):
- Navigate Towards Truth For The Good Of All — OGM's most-quoted phrase; lives in
OGM Structure/ - OGM Code of Conduct — referenced from
OGM Structure/OGM Structure.md; no source file - DIKW hierarchy — see True Orphans
- Triple-Loop Learning and Pareto Principle — referenced in MOU Appendix D, no source pages
- Modular Content — referenced from
Admin and Help/How We Wiki/, no page
Patterns
The Stewardship corpus is time-boxed. Most files are dated March–May 2021. The MOU and its appendices are the high-water mark of the area; subsequent years have less Stewardship documentation in the wiki, possibly because (a) governance work moved to other media (Mattermost, Notion), or (b) the bootstrap phase ended and the MOU did its job.
This is one of the few areas where the source wiki gives a clear, narratively-coherent slice of OGM history.
